Monoi
Laboratoire Cosmétologique de Tahiti produces “Monoï de Tahiti Guarantee of Origin” for export. This product is manufactured according to the French Government Decree Nr. 92-340 amended by Decree Nr. 313/CM dated of 20/02/2008; published JOPF Nr. 2008-9 dated 28/02/2008, which strictly defines the process used to manufacture “Monoi de Tahiti”, guaranteeing its authenticity and quality. The guarantee of origin “Monoï de Tahiti” is reserved for products manufactured in French Polynesia in accordance with local, honest and constant uses. “Monoi de Tahiti” is a wonderful cosmetic oil obtained by soaking Tiare flower (Gardenia Tahitensis) blossoms in refined coconut oil. Coconuts from “Cocos Nucifera” trees, variety growing on the coral ground of French Polynesia, and the buds of Tiare flower, must come from French Polynesia. Coconuts used for Monoi making are collected at the stage known as of "ripe nut". After the collecting, ripe coconuts are cleaved and almonds are extracted within 48 hours. These ones are then put out to dry during at least a week. The almonds are then crushed in fine particles. The raw coconut oil is extracted by a unique warm pressure. “Monoï de Tahiti” is obtained by soaking ten Tiare flowers per one litre of refined coconut oil, during at least ten days.
Tamanu virgin oil
Known as « the Sacred Oil » by the ancient Tahitian people, the Tamanu Virgin Oil is a traditional ingredient in the Polynesian life. Tamanu Virgin Oil has a unique capacity to promote the new tissue formation, thereby accelerating wound healing and growth of healthy skin. Tamanu Virgin Oil is obtained from dried Tamanu almond walnuts.
A process developed by LABORATOIRE COSMETOLOGIQUE DE TAHITI and TAHITI AROMES allows obtaining a lower- fragrance and lower-coloured product than the quality generally present in the market. These characteristics, particulary appreciated in the cosmetic formulation, comes from Tamanu almond walnuts, which undergoes a particular process of drying.
Tahitian Vanilla Oleoresin
Introduced in 1848 in Polynesia by the admiral F. Hamelin, the Tahitian Vanilla Vanilla Tahitensis Moore has a strongly anisated flavour which principally fit to the worlds of perfumery, cosmetic and food. The Laboratoire Cosmétologique de Tahiti Vanilla Oleoresin is a substance which naturally exudes the unique fragrance of the Tahitian Vanilla and which perfectly integrates the cosmetic formulas.
